USAC Sticker Design Contest

Calling all creatives, artists, and graphic designers — we want YOU to design USAC’s new stickers! We’re looking for 3-4 new sticker designs to distribute to students, alumni, USAC staff, and university partners around the world. The prize? International bragging rights and a batch of your stickers mailed to your door. 

We want our stickers to reflect your unique study abroad experience. So, think, what does study abroad mean to you? What comes to mind when you think, “students beyond borders?” How can you demonstrate authentic cultural experiences through an image or your favorite travel quote? Even if you haven’t studied abroad with USAC, yet, you still have your own answers to these questions and are invited to participate!

Submission Deadline: 11:59 p.m. PST on August 6, 2021 

Winners will be contacted by the USAC Advancement and Engagement team in early August. Final design will be printed in late August 2021.  

Contest Rules and Guidelines 

This sticker design contest is open to all USAC students (those currently abroad or enrolled in a future term), USAC alumni, Central Office staff, and USAC program staff.  

Designs may also be submitted to usacmarketing@gmail.com by 11:59 p.m. PST on August 6, 2021. 

  • Please name each file in the following format: last name, first initial, and design number [i.e., Smith, J._Sticker 1]. 
  • Please include a brief description of each design and your inspiration for the work. 
  • Ensure all submitted designs are their design file size.  
  • Resolution and Format: We prefer design files in .ai, .psd, .il, or .pdf types but will also accept hand-drawn designs, as well.
    • If your sticker is selected as winner, we will need the working file to make any necessary alterations before sending to print. We can accept .ai (InDesign), .psd (Photoshop), or .il (Illustrator) files.
    • If you cannot share one of these working files, your design concept will be brought to life by a USAC designer for printing.
  • Stickers should include USAC brand colors wherever possible, including: 
    • Accent Blue: #0C7C97 
    • Highlight Blue: #1BCEDF 
    • Accent Purple: #712BA0 
    • Highlight Purple: #B95BF9 
    • Brand Black: #3A4454 
    • Brand Grey: #E8EEF2 
  • Limits on Submission: Participants may submit a maximum of five (5) designs. 
  • Designs containing alcohol, illegal or dangerous behavior, or anything that may be deemed as inappropriate, will be disqualified. 
  • Copyright and Usage: Designers retain the copyright to their designs. By entering the contest, designers agree that: 
    • Winning entries will be selected by the USAC Advancement and Engagement Department and may be sent to print immediately upon selection. Winners will be notified via email in early August.  
    • Entries (including non-winning entries) may be edited and/or selected for display or use on USAC web pages and promotional materials, without fee, compensation, or acknowledgement; 
    • USAC may display winning designs on their website and/or on the UNR study abroad webpage, social media channels, program catalogs, and other digital or print channels. 
    • USAC may retain copies of the designs for archival and promotional purposes. 
    • USAC reserves the right to modify submitted designs to align with organizational branding requirements, such as font selection, color, and logo placement.
