One thing we strongly believe in at USAC is the ability to couple quality academics with a genuine cultural immersion experience — hence study abroad — but a big part of that is due to our quality faculty teaching abroad!

Professor Zhou Yijun, teaches Contemporary Chinese Foreign Relations in the Spring, and Government and Politics in the Summer for our Shanghai, China program. Recently, he was designated diplomat (his official title is the Third Secretary) for the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of India by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Quite the mouth full but prestigious nonetheless.

Even before being elected to diplomat, students have long found his teachings “inspirational” and “motivating.”

Professor Zhou has been teaching for USAC since 2012 with no signs of slowing down. His new challenging role in the embassy will translate to greater learning opportunities for not only himself but the students he instructs and the classes he teaches.

We look forward to the coming fruit produced by Professor Zhou in his students from our Shanghai, China program.
