USAC earns title by Go Overseas in its 2025 Community Choice award
The Go Overseas community has ranked University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) the No. 2 position on the Overall Top Study Abroad Provider awards. Climbing up from third place last year demonstrates USAC’s consistency in providing affordable, immersive, and meaningful international experiences for students in the field of higher education.
GoOverseas.com is a leading online community and review platform that attracts more than 1 million users each month to explore more than 15,000 study abroad programs and travel organizations from around the world.
The annual Go Overseas Community Choice Awards for Study Abroad providers highlight those providers who truly excel at offering students an unforgettable study abroad experience. Student reviews are taken into consideration as well, rating programs across five categories: Academics, Support, Fun, Housing, and Safety. Once each provider’s category scores are averaged, they are then weighted on the total number of reviews.

Go Overseas is a highly regarded tool for students researching study abroad opportunities. In addition to sharing program options, course offerings, and cultural experiences, it also offers links to scholarship opportunities to increase financial access to an international education.
For Lily Tompkins, a USAC Viterbo alum from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), leaving for her study abroad experience in Italy was her first time leaving the United States. She shared about her experiences abroad, saying, “This program supported me and helped me feel safe in my new home, while also allowing me to go out and explore not just Italy, but the world.”
Lily went on to speak about the exceptional professors she had, saying, “The first-hand knowledge of my professors and the first-hand experiences they granted me gave me a new passion for my degree. Along with the academics, I found confidence to not only travel to new countries, but to do it on my own, which led me to visit four other countries, some with friends and some without.”
Lily concluded with some thoughts on the authenticity of USAC’s field trips, which are included in the program fee. “The day trips we took to explore less-traveled streets gave me a more in-depth experience of urban life in Italy.”
