Internships
Kindergarten Teaching Assistant At The G. Pascoli School
- Assist teachers in the classroom: orientation, teaching lessons and daily routines: snack/nap/play
- Assist teachers outside the classroom: recess, lunch time and field trips
Centro Riabilitativo Reggiano Internship
- Work side-by-side with a trained physical therapist / physical therapist assistant / athletic trainer
- Prepare material and equipment necessary for treatments
- Opportunity to closely observe and interact with patients and staff
Marketing / Promotions Internship
- Create and curate marketing materials to promote the Reggio Emilia program
- Gather quotes and comments from special events, trips and any out-of-classroom excursions
- Utilize new media to build a photo blog, virtual album and promote Reggio on social media
- Storyboard, capture and edit videos with help from video experts
3C Salute – Promotions and Marketing Internship
Work with a private medical center & dental studio staffed with top-notch professionals, who offer a wide range of medical and dental services.
Lingua Point – Teach English Internship
The intern will:
- Support teachers during English lessons
- Work as native language teacher
- Organize and work various Lingua Point projects, activities, and events
Primary / Elementary School A-Bergonzi
The intern will:
- Help teachers during English lessons
- Help students with their homework
- Learn, obeserve and practice the Reggio Emilia educational approach
EMPLOYMENT AGENCY «MESTIERI»
A focus on working with people coming from North Africa (emergency “mare nostrum” immigrants to Italy).
The intern will:
- Work side-by-side with the Mestieri staff to help immigrants find a job and to insert themselves successfully into the society
SOCIAL COOPERATIVE “L’OVILE”
Its main goal is the rehabilitation of needy people through social acceptance and placement.
The intern will:
- Help the staff in selecting, supporting and planning the right path to rehabilitate people who need help re-entering society.
SOCIAL COOPERATIVE “L’ECO”
Its main goal is to help people with mental disabilities/ and motor/physical impairments.
The intern will :
- Perform labs and related activities
- Organize events on site and in the community
SOCIAL COOPERATIVE “CORESS”
It grants health and care services for older people and young people with mental disabilities and motor/physical impairments.
The intern will:
- Work with the staff in helping people in daily life activities/needs
- Organize activities, events and projects
University Dean’s office with Ms. LETIZIA MUSTO
Letizia Musto works as University Director Assistant in the University Dean’s office. She coordinates and manages activities; she is responsible for international activities and for the organization of institutional events.
The intern will:
- Support Ms. Letizia Musto and her staff to coordinate events and activities, and learn the inner-workings of office setting competencies.
MUNICIPALITY / CITY HALL: CULTURE OFFICE
Intern will:
- Help the city staff in organizing events
- Help in planning activities in community
- Help in starting collaborative projects between
City and USAC program
MUNICIPALITY: CITY SPORT ORGANIZATION
- Help the staff in promoting sport competitions and events
- Help in organizing and running events
- Help in starting projects between city and USAC
UNIMORE Reggio Emilia RADIO STATION RUMOREWEB
Interested Students will be able to work with the local university radio station, on air and off – in English or Italian!

CENTRO RIABILITATIVO REGGIANO – Physical Therapy Internship
The “Centro Riabilitativo Reggiano” is a private clinic that is focused on physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation.
USAC student volunteers/trainees will:
- Work with a very committed and professional staff,
- Have daily contact with patients as they observe and actively help and assist with patient treatment
- Observe the physical therapist/physical therapist assistant/athletic trainer-patient interaction.
- Learn about industry and practice of physical therapy
- Learn about running a private clinic / business
HOTEL POSTA
This historic, beautiful hotel in the city center of Reggio Emilia will be the site of an internship for USAC Reggio students interested in learning about the industry and business of hospitality and hotel management.
Students will be able to:
- Observe and learn daily operations
- Work privately with hotel Director and staff in English and Italian
- Assist in office and at front desk
- Discuss management, logistics, organization, event planning and other topics with hotel director and staff
- Complete projects & help staff plan and organize events, offers, activities
*Potentially another hospitality and food/hotel management internship available. Please inquire during enrollment into the Reggio Emilia, Italy program.
