USAC Partnership programs are really outstanding opportunities for students to be enrolled directly in a foreign institution for an independent, life-changing experience. Students receive outstanding support from our partners in the International Students offices of the host universities, and in a handful of locations, USAC staff have joined with that rich, local support to provide new features and opportunities for USAC students. Some examples follow below.
USAC Oslo students will be greeted in the Spring Semester by our new on-site staff member in Oslo, Per Gunnar (“PG”) Paulsen. “I was born and raised in Norway but spent 4 years of my life in Japan. One of them as a student at Kwansei Gakuin University, one of USAC’s partner program universities, and another year as the exchange coordinator there where I had the chance to work with many of you at USAC as the coordinator for incoming international students.” PG has a degree in teaching Norwegian as a second language and in Japanese language and we look forward to him adding another layer of support for students in Oslo.
