Lorna is the program advisor for Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Germany, and Poland
I was born and raised in Las Vegas, but currently live in Reno, Nevada. I received my BA in International Affairs and French from the University of Nevada, Reno and have been working with USAC ever since I got back from my time as a study abroad student in Lyon, France. In my free time I enjoy kayaking, hiking, baking artisan bread, and re-watching the Office.
Where did you study abroad?
I studied abroad in Lyon, France during the fall. I am so glad I studied there in the Fall because I got to see the Fête des Lumières.
Favorite place you’ve traveled?
I have had the pleasure of visiting Berlin twice, and I would still love to go back! The city is massive and has so much history and culture that you can always find something to do. The museums are great, and the vegan food scene is even better.
If you could go on any USAC program, what would it be and why?
I would love to study abroad in Chiang Mai because it is completely different from places that I have traveled before. I have only traveled around Europe so I would love to experience a completely different culture, food, and climate. The tours that are offered in Chiang Mai sound incredible and I would love to explore such a gorgeous city.
What’s on your bucket list?
Everything on my bucket list is travel related (of course)! A few things I would love to see are the pyramids in Egypt, Aztec temples, the Great Wall, and the northern lights. Some places to travel to that are on my bucket list are Petra, Jordan and Tokyo, Japan!
