International Bucket List Photo Contest Winners!

We received some excellent entries into our most recent round of the International Bucket List Photo Contest. We are always very proud of our students, their work, and the experiences they have on our programs and this was no different. Our panels of judges had a very difficult task! The top winners follow below but keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages in the coming days to get a peek at more of the awesome photos we received.

Up first… the Grand Prize Winner

The two below are simply wonderful, beautiful photos that could only have been captured by students completely immersed in their experience.

Grand Prize Winner: Grant Mallory (Bowling Green State)

Grant explains, “We had heard Koh Tao provided travelers with great scuba diving opportunities, but what they failed to mention were the ridiculous sunsets; this is a candid shot of my girlfriend as she is mesmerized by the colors of the sky.”

A photo that perfectly captures all the feelings of awe and wonder study abroad summons forth from our students. Congratulations, Grant!

Grand Prize Runner up: Erin Wilson (Clemson University)

Erin explains, “I took this photo of four friends from my program out on the rocky jetties on the beaches of Cinque Terre. The sunset was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen and we decided the only thing that would make it better was ‘USAC!’”

The International Bucket List Photo Contest

Maybe it’s something you’ve always done — like surfing or hiking — but you wanted a new challenge, like riding the waves in Costa Rica or scaling mountains in New Zealand. Or maybe it is something you’ve always wanted to do — live with people who don’t speak your native language, or volunteer in a medical clinic in another country.

Whatever or wherever it may have been, we wanted you to show us how you were able to check items off your International Bucket List while studying abroad – and you delivered!
