USAC and 14 international institution partners participate in various learning sessions at USAC headquarters.
Building relationships and fostering strong international educational partnerships are essential to the success of the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC)’s study abroad programs. USAC has offered more than 50 programs for almost all majors worldwide through these long-standing connections.
USAC recently hosted 14 of its Partnership Program international university partners in a two-day collaborative knowledge-sharing event at its Central Office in Reno, Nevada.
“This was a timely and special opportunity to highlight many of our Partnership Programs and to learn more about the innovative offerings these sites provide USAC students,” says Alyssa Nota, USAC CEO and President.
“It’s an honor to work closely with these highly reputable universities for so many years and continue building on our solid collaborations. Our time together cultivated great discussion and exciting new ideas for academic and cultural program development, which will help us create even better study abroad opportunities for students. I’m proud and excited to reaffirm these important and meaningful relationships.”
USAC staff and partners learned more about global education trends, field issues, specific university offerings, onsite student services and support, and academic and cultural highlights from each location during the event. The following USAC Partnership Program locations were represented:

“This event provided an amazing opportunity to engage with USAC partners visiting from all over the world. Our day-to-day interactions tend to be through email and virtual meetings, so our time spent together at the USAC Central Office was all the more special. Throughout the event, we engaged in productive conversations, learning from one another, and ultimately, strengthening our partnerships,” says Alissa Qualheim, USAC Partnership Programs Coordinator.
USAC offers 26 Partnership Programs across 14 countries. These programs are like exchange programs, but with support from USAC and the host institution’s international office staff and services. USAC Partnership Programs offer students the opportunity to take a wide variety of courses taught in English at the host institution alongside international and local students in immersive campus environments.
