Preparing to go abroad is exciting and a bit overwhelming. How on earth can you properly pack for several months somewhere you’ve never been?! In an effort to help our Fall students assure they aren’t forgetting any essentials (or things they didn’t even realize they should bring abroad) we went to our Facebook audience and asked for their insight. Afterall, USAC has been sending students abroad for 35 years, so our audience has A LOT of study abroad experience!
Alumni and fellow travelers were quick to respond and offer up their practical and emotional suggestions. While you may be focusing on the physical things you need to pack to go abroad, our alumni reminded us of some great mental things to remember before you embark overseas.
